Find Out More About Us

Pretty much anywhere in and around Newcastle – and if the work’s there, we’ll come and do it! We can complete projects in Maitland, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and Central Coast.
Need us to swing by on a Saturday or Sunday? No problem at all. We get that weekdays can be jam-packed. Just a heads up, though – weekend rates might be a bit higher to cover the extra pay for our crew.
How do we decide that a tree’s got to go? Our team of arborists take a good look at the tree’s health, how stable it is, and whether it’s too close for comfort to buildings or power lines. If it’s looking like a liability, or it’s sick beyond saving, or in the way of development, then we’ll recommend taking it down.
Yep, we’re ready for any tree emergency. Got a tree threatening to topple after a storm? We’re here to handle any tree crisis you have – as fast as humanly possible. Our crew is prepper to safeguard you and your property ASAP.

Getting a Quote & Extra Services

Yep we sure do. Our quotes are 100% free, and you’re not tied down to anything. We hand out free quotes like Oprah hands out free cars. Unfortunately, our quotes don’t come with free cars though.
Sure, we can clear out the grindings. Usually, they’re left behind to fill the hole, but we can scoop them up if you prefer.
Sometimes, we do give away mulch for free. You can load up your trailer from our spot in Newcastle if there’s any available. Just a note – delivering a truckload isn’t on the house, so if you need it delivered, then we have to charge a fee.

How We Structure Our Pricing & Getting Discounts

Quoting a tree job isn’t straightforward. Some newer or less experienced companies might not factor in everything, and they may tweak prices mid-job or skimp on safety. Going with someone underinsured or underqualified might seem cheaper at first, but any mishaps could end up being your expense. We lay it all out upfront, so you’re not caught off guard.
We get it – you’re shopping around, looking for a good deal but also wanting to ensure you’re going with pros who prioritize safety and know their stuff. The short answer: yeah, we can work with you on the price by adjusting the scope. Maybe we leave the wood or mulch behind or tackle several trees in one go to cut down on costs.
Absolutely, cash is king. Just a heads up, though – we can’t knock off the GST if you pay in cash. We’ve got to keep everything above board, for your protection and ours. Plus, it’s good karma to play by the rules and to pay our taxes. ;)
While we don’t typically lower our prices – because we’re not willing to compromise on the level of service you get – we’re all about fairness. Our prices are fair and square from the get-go, every time. That said, we’ve got a soft spot for the elderly, folks facing hard times, and first-home buyers. Sometimes, that can be reflected in the quote we give you.

Over the Phone Quotes & Turnaround Time

It all comes down to the quality of the photo. If you can provide us with a clear, detailed photo then this can give us a pretty good idea, but for those tricky angles or large-scale projects, a site visit is a must to capture all the nuances and ensure our quote is spot-on.
To be honest, we’re usually pretty hesitant to quote over the phone. Quoting for tree removal isn’t a one-size-fits-all situation, which is why we’re cautious about giving prices sight unseen over the phone. We prefer to eyeball the job in person so that we can offer you an accurate, fair quote from the get-go, free of charge and obligation-free. It’s about making sure we’ve got all the angles covered – literally. If you REALLY want a brief estimate over the phone, have a chat with our team and we’ll see what we can do.
With a team on the road daily across a broad area, we might just be in your neighbourhood when you call. Our scheduling is designed to cover Newcastle to the Central Coast efficiently and we focus on different areas each day. If the stars align, we could be giving you your quote sooner than you think.
We get most jobs out of the way within 7 to 14 days, and we promise you won’t be left hanging for more than 30 days. We know you’ve got a lot on your plate, so we make it our business to work with your schedule and ensure we tackle your tree issues with minimal disruption to your routine.

Details About Insurance & Our Arborists

Yes, we’ve got you covered – literally. Rest easy knowing we’re fully insured for your peace of mind. We carry comprehensive insurance, including public liability, workers’ compensation, and professional indemnity, alongside coverage for all our vehicles and equipment.
We most certainly do! Our team isn’t just experienced—it’s also well-educated in the field, all our arborists have honed their skills through rigorous apprenticeships. It’s all about delivering the high-quality service you expect and deserve.
Here’s the deal: a qualified arborist brings at least three years of hands-on experience, backed by extensive training under seasoned professionals. This isn’t just about removing or pruning trees—it’s about doing so with the utmost safety and expertise, to minimise risks to you and your property. On the flip side, opting for an unqualified arborist, or tree lopper, can be a huge gamble. Their often self-taught, and their underinsured approach can heighten the risk to your property. Choosing experience means choosing safety.
It most certainly is. Tree lopping and logging rank as some of the most hazardous jobs out there, leading the charts in 2020 with 135 fatalities per 100,000 workers globally. We don’t take this lightly. Our approach to risk management is stringent, and we aim for zero injuries or incidents. Our team is our family, and their safety, alongside yours, is our top priority.

Getting Council Approval

How do you handle trees on your neighbour’s turf? Want to cut down a tree that’s not on your property? You’ll need to chat with your neighbour and possibly council, especially if the tree is under some kind of protection. If the tree’s easy to get to from your side, you might not need your neighbour’s approval, but we definitely recommend opening up lines of communication with them.
If your neighbour is playing hardball over a tree that’s clearly a danger, then hit up your local council first. If you’re not getting anywhere with them, then a cert 5 arborist should be your next call. They can give you the lowdown on whether you’ve got a case worth taking to court.

Whether you need to ask the council before you start chopping depends on a bunch of different things. If you want detailed information you can visit the Newcastle council website to find out more.

Skip the guesswork by checking out council rules on our site. Take a look at our individual location pages here:

If a storm’s left a tree in a precarious state, there are times you can skip the council approval. However, we’d highly recommend calling in an experienced arborist for a professional once-over. This is the safest bet to ensure everything’s above board.

Let’s Talk Safety

Asking how we keep our team safe is part of our daily routine. It even influences our quotes. We don’t just talk about safety, we live it. Before anyone climbs a tree or fires up a chainsaw, we’ve already mapped out the job’s risks and how to mitigate them. Our safety-first mantra extends to regular training sessions and sticking to ISO safety standards because we believe in zero incidents and injuries.
